ராக் புரொடக்‌ஷன்ஸ் தயாரிப்பில், யோகி பாபு கதாநாயகனாக நடித்துள்ள ‘சிங்காரம்’ திரைப்படத்தை இயக்குநர் கே.வி. கதிர்வேலு இயக்கியுள்ளார். ஏ.எஸ். ரமண பாலாஜி மற்றும் பத்மாவதி காந்தி தயாரித்துள்ள இப்படத்திற்கு சாம் சி.எஸ். இசையமைத்துள்ளார். ஏற்கெனவே இப்படத்தின் டீசர் வெளியாகி கவனம் பெற்ற நிலையில், தற்போது இசை வெளியீட்டு விழாவை முன்னிட்டு டிரெய்லரும் வெளியிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. வரும் அக்டோபர் 30-ஆம் தேதி இப்படம் உலகம் முழுவதும் திரையரங்குகளில் வெளியாகவுள்ளது.

YOGI BABU’S ‘SINGGARAMM' PRE- RELEASE EVENT HELD IN STYLE; FILM TO RELEASE ON OCTOBER 30

Raack Productions’ upcoming film Singgaram, featuring Yogi Babu in the lead role, is directed by K.V. Kathirvelu and produced by A.S. Ramana Balaji and Padmavathi Gandhi. With music composed by Sam C.S., the film has already garnered attention with its teaser. The trailer was unveiled at the film’s pre- release event, which was attended by the cast and crew. Singgaramm is set to release worldwide in theatres on October 30.

Centred on the lives, historical background and struggles of the Narikuravar community, Singgaramm sheds light on the social discrimination and exclusion they face, while highlighting their fight for dignity and equal rights. The film revolves around a member of the community entering politics and rising to become a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA). Combining socially relevant themes with humour and family emotions, the film aims to deliver a meaningful message while offering an engaging cinematic experience.

The audio launch was graced by Udhayanidhi Stalin as the chief guest. The director, producers, actors and technicians shared their experiences of making the film and spoke about the thought and effort behind bringing this story to the screen.

Director K.V. Kathirvelu said that extensive research had gone into understanding the history and background of the Narikuravar community before developing the film. He explained that Singgaramm addresses social inequalities, particularly the disparity in how people are treated based on their power and position, while others are often marginalised and overlooked. He added that the film incorporates political elements alongside the historical and social context of the community. Emphasising that the film combines a socially relevant message with entertainment for the entire family, he appealed to audiences to extend their support.

Speaking at the event, actor Yogi Babu thanked director K.V. Kathirvelu, producer Ramana Balaji and the entire team for giving him the opportunity to be part of the film. He fondly remembered the late actors Manobala and Marimuthu, recalling how Manobala had always been supportive of him. He also acknowledged the encouragement and trust the team had placed in him and urged audiences to watch Singgaramm in theatres when it releases on October 30.

Producer A.S. Ramana Balaji spoke about his 27-year journey in the film industry as a dancer and choreographer, expressing gratitude to everyone who had supported him along the way. He credited the collective hard work and cooperation of numerous individuals for the growth of Raack Productions. Stressing the importance of a creative work’s purpose, he said that artists must continue to be given opportunities and that cinema has the power to influence audiences, change perspectives and inspire people in their lives. He noted that Singgaramm had been made despite several challenges and acknowledged the significant contributions of the director, actors and technicians. He particularly appreciated Yogi Babu’s support at various stages of the journey and expressed confidence in the film’s success.

Co- producer Diwakar expressed gratitude to his uncle Karthikeyan, his family and director K.V. Kathirvelu for being instrumental in bringing the film to life. Costume Designer and Actor NJ Sathya, who has a background in technical work and has also been pursuing acting opportunities, thanked Yogi Babu for giving him a chance to perform in the film. He appreciated Yogi Babu’s willingness to encourage and help other artistes secure opportunities. Working alongside experienced senior actors, he said, had provided him with valuable learning experiences. He described Singgaramm as a film that brings together humour and emotionally engaging moments and appealed to audiences to support its theatrical release.

Actor T.S.R Srinivasan praised Yogi Babu’s portrayal of a Kuravar character, remarking that watching his performance evoked the feeling of seeing the legendary M.G. Ramachandran (MGR) on screen again after a long time. He acknowledged director K.V. Kathirvelu’s 15 years of hard work in reaching this stage of his career. He also stressed the importance of providing opportunities to experienced artistes and ensuring that their efforts are rewarded with fair remuneration and due recognition. He added that creating structured employment opportunities for artistes would further strengthen Tamil cinema and help it achieve greater prominence internationally.

Director R.V. Udayakumar who was the special guest at the event, highlighted the socially conscious themes explored in Singgaramm, directed by K.V. Kathirvelu, who comes from a Communist family background. He appreciated the film’s central premise of a member of the Narikuravar community entering politics and rising to become an MLA. He also praised Yogi Babu for maintaining his simplicity while continuing to deliver strong performances as a leading actor. Extending his appreciation to music composer Sam C.S., producers Ramana Balaji and Diwakar, and the entire team, he conveyed his best wishes to the director, cast and technicians on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Film Directors Association.

With its worldwide theatrical release scheduled for October 30, Singgaramm is poised to bring a socially relevant story to audiences through a blend of humour, political themes and family emotions.
