Sathriyan is about two gangs in Trichy trying to overthrow the other. while one is headed by Samuthiran, the current king of the underworld, the other is headed by Shankar.

The storyline revolves around Guna (Vikram Prabhu) plays the role of an underhand, who falls in love with a deceased don Samuthiran's daughter Niranjana (Manjima Mohan). obviously, there is opposition from her family. Can he overcome all opposition and marry Niranjana.

Vikram Prabhu and Manjima delivers a decent performance, Vikram excels in action sequences.

The most exhausting part of the film comes in the final third, when Guna indulges his friend with a monologue about why it is good to give up a life in the crime business. This is the final punch that knocks out the audience.
