* East Coast Road, two youngsters who were in a four-wheeler rammed into a tree at Nallur, and both died. According to police sources, Bala Murali (25) from Karur and Rahul (24) from Ramanathapuram were MBBS students in a private college. They were on their way from Puducherry to Chennai when their car hit against the tree killing the duo. Police have registered a case and sent the bodies to Chengalpet Government Hospital.

* In another incident, a two-wheeler rider lost his life after ramming into another motorist at Shanthi Colony in Thirumangalam last night. The police said, Udayaraj (40) of Mannurpet worked in a gadget store in Shanthi Colony. Yesterday, he was riding on his bullet when he kicked up speed and rammed into the two-wheeler driven by Bharath Sudha from Anna Nagar West. Bharath sustained minor injuries, while Udayaraj, who was rushed to a private hospital, succumbed to injuries. The police said, Udayaraj was not wearing a head gear at the time of the mishap.

* In another incident, two youth who were riding on a scooter met with an accident on Tambaram-Chennai Bypass Road, police said, Anoop (27) and Sathish hit a lorry while riding the vehicle. Anoop died in the mishap, while Sathish suffered injuries. Chrompet traffic investigation wing has registered a case.
