Cricketer Sreesanth to learn Telugu for his debut
Cricket player Sreesanth is ensuring he trains hard and learns the tricks of the trade before he makes his debut in the South Indian film industry. The actor has just joined a three-day acting workshop to polish his Telugu skills for his upcoming untitled film to be directed by Sana Yadi Reddy.
Sources said, "Sreesanth is currently in Hyderabad for an acting workshop, which is being conducted at the film city. Apart from Sreesanth, other actors will also be part of the programme."
Sreesanth has also gone a step further by hiring a tutor to help improve his Telugu. "He is proficient in Malayalam and Tamil but wanted somebody to help him get the diction in Telugu right. He is very specific that he says his lines himself and not be dubbed," says the source.
In addition to honing his acting skills, the cricketer-turned-actor has also apparently shed weight in preparation for his role in the movie. The film, which will revolve around the life of a cricketer, will start shooting by the end of January.
