I’m more comfortable in Kollywood
I’m more comfortable in Kollywood : Ananya It is a known fact that actress Ananya, having given impressive performances in Tamil and Malayalam, is comfortable doing films in both the languages. However,
the actress now says, though she is a Malayali, she is more at ease working in the Tamil film industry! "I find it more comfortable working in Tamil films rather than in Malayalam. Right from the start, I got strong characters and lead roles in Kollywood. Luckily, all the films fared well at the box office too," says Ananya and adds that, she wants to be a part of good Malayalam films.
"I am selective and don't mind waiting for the best role rather than do all the projects coming my way and regret about it later. In fact, I have become more serious about my career as an actor now. And I believe in taking up only those projects that I am keen on doing," she says. Ananya rose to stardom after her scintillating performances in Tamil films like Naadodigal and Engeyum Eppothum.
Her bubbly role in Engeyum Eppothum had even fetched her a Filmfare award for Best Supporting Actress in Tamil. She will next be seen in Kollywood in Pulivaal and Cocktail, the Tamil remakes of Malayalam films Chappa Kurishu and Cocktail, respectively. In Cocktail, Ananya will reprise the role done by Samvritha Sunil in the original.
