Pratap Pothen to direct Dulquer Salman
Director - actor Pratap Pothen is now making a comeback as a filmmaker, with an Anjali Menon script and has roped in Dulquer Salmaan for the film.
The director says, "I loved Dulquer's performance in Ustad Hotel and OK Kanmani, and the films proved that he has the potential to go places. This is why I wanted him for my movie. All I can say regarding the project is that Dulquer will be the lead." He adds that the movie is yet to be titled.
And that's not all, after wrapping up the film, the director will also be working with Dulquer's dad Mammootty. "Once this movie is over, I will be making a film that will be an ode to my father (Kolathinkal Pothen), with Mammootty in the lead," he says.
Apparently, Mammootty expressed his happiness over Dulquer teaming up with the director. "When I met Mammootty at a function for the film Appavum Veenjum, he told me that Dulquer had mentioned about the project. Apparently, Dulquer asked him how I am as a person!
He replied that other than the occasional bad words I use, I am cool," the director says in his Facebook post, alongside a picture clicked with his lead star. Rajeev Menon, for whom Dulquer says he faced the camera first, will be the cinematographer for the film, which is expected to go on floors early next year.
