It's back to work for Priya Mani. The actress, who in the recent past took off on two holidays -- first to the UK with her dad and subsequently to Goa -- has now reported to the set of Ambareesha, her new Kannada film opposite Challenging Star Darshan. This is Priya's first film with the actor. Ambareesha, directed by Mahesh Sukadhare, also stars Nisha Yogeshwar and was launched in August.

But since Darshan was busy with Brundaavana at the time, actual shooting began only this week. This will technically be Priya's first Kannada film for the year, given that Lakshmi, which released early this year was launched in December 2011. Ambareesha apart, the actress has two Telugu films - Angulika and Chandee - up for release, as well as a couple of Malayalam films.

Ambareesha, we hear, will be a commercial potboiler and, in keeping with the big budgets of Darshan films, will be shot on a lavish scale in locations across Karnataka.
