Skyman Films International Kalaimagan Mubarak presents Seenu Ramasamy directorial GV Prakash Kumar-Gayathrie Shankar starrer “Production No.2”
National award-winning filmmaker Seenu Ramasamy had recently announced his next outing, which he affirmed, would be far different from his erstwhile movies. The noteworthy fact is that his previous movies were melodramas, whereas this yet-to-be-titled movie featuring GV Prakash Kumar in the lead role would be an out-and-out action thriller set against the rural backdrops. Gayathrie Shankar, who has already worked with Seenu Ramasamy in the upcoming film ‘Maamanithan’ featuring Vijay Sethupathi as the protagonist, has been signed to essay the female lead and will appear as a nurse in this movie, which has prominent actors like MS Bhaskar, Ganja Karuppu, and many others. Director Seenu Ramasamy says, “The female lead character travels across three stages of life – Schoolgirl, working woman and a mother. I felt that Gayathrie has the proficiency of doing justice to these shades. She will be seen as a nurse working at Andipatti Government Hospital. Like my previous movies, the female lead will have more importance and have more impact on the story premise. We have scheduled the first leg of shooting from August 2 in Theni and it will be a 25-day schedule.”
Tentatively titled “Production No.2”, the movie is produced by Kalaimagan Mubarak of Skyman Films International. NR Raghunanthan, who has already worked with Seenu Ramasamy in movies like Thenmerku Paruva Kaatru and Neer Paravai is composing music, and Kaviperarasu Vairamuthu is penning lyrics.
