Sisu - Movie Review
"Sisu" is a hard-hitting action movie that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. Directed by Jalmari Helander and starring Jorma Tommila, Aksel Hennie, and Jack Doolan, the movie tells the story of a war-hardened man who is forced to confront a Nazi army as they retreat from Finland after World War II. Tommila is perfectly cast as the lead, portraying a character who embodies the Finnish spirit of "sisu" - stoic determination and bravery in the face of adversity.
The movie is unrelenting in its brutality, and the Nazi captain played by Aksel Hennie and his subordinate Jack Doolan are truly menacing. The action sequences are top-notch and will leave you breathless, while the raw and gory visuals may be too much for some viewers. Sound Design, Visuals and VFX deserve a special mention which elevates the tension and brutality to a whole another level.
While the movie takes certain liberties with reality to deliver its entertainment, it never fails to keep the audience rooting for the hero. Sisu is a definite must-watch for action movie lovers, but it's not for the faint-hearted. Overall, "Sisu" is a gripping and intense film that will leave you thoroughly entertained
